This month we take a look at the humble Bundt cake and discover that there’s far more history to this style of cake than simply its attractive ring-shape and glossy drizzled icing.
Created in the 1950s in Minneapolis, America by a company called Nordic Ware®, the term “Bundt®” was coined to conjure feelings of warmth and gathering, which a warm Bundt Cake certainly does! While inspired by the German gugelhopf cake, Bundts rose to fame with the Tunnel of Fudge Cake – their unique “hole in the middle” design allowing this gooey fudge cake to bake through without burning and still ensuring a gooey middle.
We are so excited to share with you that we’ve partnered with Nordic Ware Australia to launch our Bake a Bundt Competition! All you have to do is Bake a Bundt, take a photo, share it with us and you could win a Jubilee Bundt Tin, Cookie Stamps, Bundt accessories, a Breville Mixer, Breville Ice Cream Freeze & Mix and a bundle of Queen products valued over $1,000!
