Dr. Oetker Ready to Roll Icing

Queen Food Colour Gel

Rolling pin

Method

STEP 1

Knead fondant until soft and pliable and split into two balls. Set aside one half. Roll the half that you are planning to colour into a ball and make a small well in the centre.

STEP 2

Add a few drops of Queen Food Colour Gel. Go slowly – remember you can add more colour, but you can’t take it away!

STEP 3

Use your fingertips to mould the fondant around the drops of Food Colour Gel. Continue kneading until color is evenly blended; if necessary, add a little more color to reach your desired shade.

STEP 4

Roll the coloured fondant into a log. Roll the white fondant from step 1 into a log of the same size.

STEP 5

Twist logs around each, then roll to bring them tighter. Fold the twisted rope in half. Continue to twist and roll the fondant until your desired level of marbling has been achieved.

STEP 5

Your beautiful marbled fondant is ready to be rolled out and used for decorating!
