Chocolate mud drip cake with milk choc praline frosting - Ildi B.

The cake is my traditional Easter cake that I’ve been making for the last 4 years now. It so happened that 4 years ago for Easter I experimented with a cake recipe, thst my husband my strictest critic absolutely adored. He then kindly requested we start our own family tradition of sweets for important events, and as it was Easter it becsne our traditional Easter cake.
It’s a beautifully moist chocolate mud layer cake with a milk chocolate praline (toffeed almonds) ganache, topped with a toffee shards and Easter eggs.

The Queen products I used for this cake are vanilla bean extract, vanilla paste. Other Queen products I have in my cupboard for baking are: food colours, different colours of fondant icing and glucose syrup.

The reason I would love to win, is I have Anneke Manning’s Mastering The Art of Baking book that has taught me all the techniques I practice today when baking. With her new book I would be able to further enhance my knowledge and become more proficient thus taking my cakes to another level.
